BET Networks asked Soulja Boy to explain how he managed to become viral and turn into the meme in 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019?

In 14 minutes monologue, he smokes a joint and talks about Tyga, Drake, Beyonce, creating Crank That and how he crashed the first iPhone presented by Apple for 2 seconds.

Soulja Boy vs Tyga и Drake

The story happened in 2018, when Soulja Boy was live on Instagram and someone wrote that, Tyga did the biggest comeback of 2018. Soulja Boy shouted in response: “Tyga??? Man get the f out of here!”

The next day Soulja Boy to the Power 105.2 show called The Breakfast Club and criticised Tyga and Drake. The radio host Сharlamagne Tha God called Drake the biggest rapper in the world. Soulja Boy considers memes as viruses. If you become meme you become viral.

In the same radio show Soulja Boy reminded that Drake used his lines in his first track “Miss Me” which was recorded in 2009 and released 2010:

I said “Tell me what’s really goin’ on”
Drizzy back up in this thing, I’m ready, what’s hannenin’?

Lines from Soulja Boy Tell ‘Em “What’s Hannenin” dated 2007:

Man, tell me, what’s really goin’ on?
Soulja Boy up in this thing, I’m ready
What’s hannenin’?
And I’m ready with the dope
I got a half a mill’ stashed in the studio
What’s hannenin’?

You can find this moment in the full Breakfast Club interview on the 49th minute:

Of course, Soulja Boy dissembles a little since the original lines were interpolated from Shawty Lo of D4L. In his 2005 track called “I’m Da Man”:

I don’t know what y’all been told
Shawty Lo back on the map, what’s up
That’s what’s hannenin’
And you know I keep work
Seventeen five, same color t-shirt
What’s hannenin’

Soulja Boy makes fun of Drake. His track stayed underground, popular between his fans. Drake’s track reached the first lines of the charts. Soulja Boy notes that even Ariana Grande copied his flow from из трека “Pretty Boy Swag” (2010) in her track “7 Rings” (2019).

Soulja Boy sold 15 millions of Crank That ringtones. It got brilliant certification. He became the pioneer of music streaming and wants all the labels to pay him 5%.

Even Beyonce used the lines from the track “Turn My Swag On” (2008) in her song “Hold Up” (2016). Soulja Boy still gets royalties from the track. She even won Grammy with the track. That’s why Soulja Boy thinks that he also received this award. Drake should do the same way as Beyonce.

Soulja Boy became a crying meme

It was on BET Awards 2012. Soulja Boy cried during Whitney Houston Tribute. He thinks that it’s ok to cry. Whitney Houston died and he was very sad.
