What happened?

On 21st February 2019, the player of Duke’s university in the NCAA Division I, Zion Williamson gets injured in the first minute and becomes unable to play the rest of the game. As a result, his team Duke Blue Devils loses to North Carolina Tar Heels with the score 72:88.

Now there are a lot of questions if Duke Blue Devils can go into the 2019 NCAA Tournament as a No. 1 seed. It seems that Zion will miss the next few games and won’t help his team in this.

How it was seen from ESPN view:

But what’s really interesting is that Zion’s left Nike PG 2.5 sneaker blows, while he tries to perform one of his moves. So, the quality of Nike snakers might be the reason why he got this awful knee injury.

About a week later after the hype subsided, Skechers comes into play with disrespectful “Just blew it” advertisement in The New York Times. The poster shows blown Nike sneaker, in addition saying ‘We won’t split’ right under the Skechers logo.

This ad can also be found in USA Today, the Wall Street Journal and on Instagram. Strong move, Skechers! But will it help you to sell more
shoes?!
